Materials

The Fabled Pizza Tree may be out of print but it is still available online.

  • Cookie sheet, Parchment paper, Pencil, Spatula
  • Bridgeford frozen bread dough
  • Pizza sauce in small bowls
  • Shredded cheese in small bowls
  • Pepperoni
  • Spoons
  • Oven

Procedures

  1. Read the book, The Fabled Pizza Tree, out loud to the students and have them respond as you turn the pages.
  2. Give each child a plate as a work surface. Give each student a piece of dough and have them make a personal pizza.
  3. Use a spatula to lift the pizza dough and place it on a cookie sheet covered with parchment. Write the child’s name on the paper adjacent to their pizza and bake.
